My name is Shirley Hoelscher and I am Jefferson's Librarian. I have taught for over 19 years with the last eight years being in the library. I am a Jefferson Jaguar graduate and a Temple High graduate, the class of 1994, GO WILDCATS! I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX in 1998, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood. I have taught Kindergarten - 5th grade before becoming a librarian. I received my master's degree in Library Science from North Texas University in 2012. I love to read and give the love of reading to children. I have a wonderful husband and two awesome kids, Jennifer and Joseph.

If you have the desire to volunteer in the school please choose the library! I would love to have help with shelving, book fair, or helping a child to practice good reading skills! All you have to do is fill out a volunteer form & complete a background check.

Please contact me at 254-215-5503.
