Fourth Grade
Welcome to 4th Grade
This year you will focus on increasing your reading comprehension and expressing your thoughts through expository and narrative writing. You will also work on improving your understanding of mathematical problem solving and explore scientific concepts.
Our expectations for behavior are very straight forward.
- Respect all staff, other students, and yourself.
- Be on task and ready to learn.
- Act in safe and responsible manner at all times.
We will have a departmentalized schedule and you will switch between two teachers. We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growing!
Multiplication Algorithms The attached document shows different ways to multiply. You can help your child practice standard, lattice, and partial products multiplication.
Fourth grade will begin the year learning about the place value system and how to read large numbers, write numbers in various forms, and compare numbers.
